Released: Mon, 30 Mar 2015 21:00:00 EST
This July will mark the 20th anniversary of Bosnia's Srebrenica massacre, an event that claimed the lives of more than 8,000 Bosniak boys and men, and included the rape of numerous Bosniak women. The Bosnian War tragedy is often described as the worst episode of mass murder in Europe since WWII. In the novel The Unquiet Dead, newly minted author Ausma Khan, uses her Ph.D in international human rights law with a specialization in military intervention and war crimes in the Balkans, to inject the voices of Srebrenica's victims into her fictional murder mystery. She sits down with Steve Paikin to discuss her book, the war in the Balkans, its massacre, and the wounds that remain.
