Alison Redford was elected leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party and sworn-in as Alberta's 14th premier in October 2011. Prior to her leadeship bid she was the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Alberta. She was elected MLA for the constituency of Calgary-Elbow in 2008.
