Yanis Varoufakis

Yanis Varoufakis is an economist at the University of Athens, a popular blogger and media commentator in Greece and Europe. He is the co-architect of  “Α Modest Proposal for Overcoming the Euro Crisis” and the author of the new book The Global Minotaur: America, The True Origins of the Financial Crisis and the Future of the World Economy. He was an economic advisor to George Papandreou from 2004-2007, while he was in the Official Leader of the Opposition in Greece. His blog, “Yanis Varoufakis: Thoughts for the Post-2008 World” is widely followed in Europe and North America.
