Some people have been decrying this as the election of failure: a gaffe-filled failure to communicate, where few leaders were able to connect and capture the imagination of the electorate.

Economic concerns no doubt loom large, but there was plenty to mull over: our commitments in Afghanistan, taxes, the environment, and the quality of the potential leaders to name a few.
