On The Road Again...

by Steve Paikin Monday August 31, 2009

If you've been following our program these past few years, you'll know we tried something new last year: taking The Agenda "On the Road."

We went to Kingston, Thunder Bay, The Soo, Waterloo, and Windsor to analyze how the different sectors of the Ontario economy were faring.

We also married the standard broadcast with an "AgendaCamp," a day-long conference the day before the broadcast, where citizens could gather, set their own agenda for their discussion groups, and mix informally with senior politicians.

By all accounts it was a great success.

So this year, we're going to do it again.  Because we're doing an entire week on the road in Waterloo in October (a full week of science programming at the Quantum2Cosmos festival), we'll do our "On the Road" specials three times this season.

We had our first meeting on this last week. Producers pitched what themes/topics we should cover, and where we should do the programs.

But we're also wondering what you think.  What theme would you like to see covered and in what locations? We're still a few weeks away from making a final determination.

Let's continue the conversation below. I've already had some people send me informal emails plugging for their city on a variety of topics from the economy to tourism to transportation, etc.

So chime in below and tell us where we should go this season and what our theme should be.
