Quantum to Cosmos: Donna Shirley's Martian Reading List

by Sandra Gionas Monday October 19, 2009

I liked Donna Shirley within seconds of speaking to her on the phone.  When I asked her what how her “title” should read on the air, she jokingly suggested “Martian.”

The Former Director of NASA’s Mars Exploration Project, Donna has developed a love affair with the Red Planet. Her conversations are peppered with references to various novels and non-fiction works on Mars. She herself wrote an autobiography about her quest for the skies called Managing Martians.

We asked Donna to put together a reading list of great books on Mars. For those of you who share her love of Mars or looking forward to one day possibly living there, enjoy!
