The Inside Agenda Blog

More than Two Billion People

by Steve Paikin Thursday April 12, 2007

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about how fortunate I felt to be working on a program where we had the luxury of going into so much depth on one or two topics per night.

Last night’s program was another good example of what I’m talking about.

Twenty minutes on the state of the Chinese Communist Party with Cindy Gu, publisher of the Epoch Times.

And half an hour with Eric Margolis, a good friend of the program, on his recent two week trip to India.

An analysis of the two most populous countries in the world from two very different perspectives.

Eric knows so much about so many different places in the world that I wondered, is there a place he doesn’t know much about?

And what did he think about the American Speaker of House Nancy Pelosi’s recent trip to Syria, ostensibly to get the peace progress back on track?

Neither of those issues was really “on topic” for last night’s conversation about India.

But we’ve got “one more word” with Eric just below on each of those subjects. Click the links and watch.

And if you missed last night’s program, remember, they’re always available the next day on our home page, or you can download it to your MP3 player and listen while you jog, take transit, or whatever.
