Harper and Howard: two prime ministers, one speech

Kady O'Malley blogged about a speech Stephen Harper gave calling for Canada to send troops to Iraq that was nearly identical to one Australian PM John Howard gave a day and a half earlier. (Bob Rae isn't pleased.)

 

Let's put the politics of this aside and look at how effectively the video posted on the Liberal website proves the duplication:

 

 

 

Warren Kinsella said "if the 2008 campaign gets remembered for anything, this is the Google gaffe campaign." Not only have so many gaffes been found online, but they are easy to spread and easy to frame. I'll be curious to see how parties react to all the blunders, candidates who had to drop out and apologies that needed to be made for the next campaign.
