Country week travel guide: Maps, media and meals

by Mike Miner Monday December 15, 2008

Welcome to countries week. This week, we're taking a quick tour or Greece, Poland, Turkey, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Colombia. Pretty much the dream vacation, no?

Well, let's get started with sharing some media. If you want to see what the top stories are in these various nations, check out this map. It lists top news outlets, from TV stations to blogs. It's a handy way to get up to speed on the countries we're looking at (and if you speak the native tongue, so much the better).

What if you're not interested in what's new? Well, David Erwin put together a map taking a look at everybody's favorite Greece, Ancient Greece.

And since you are what you eat, here's what Greek are.
